Deep sleep
2:Ne 27:5All those Who commit iniquity will be put in a deep sleep. Because they have closed their eyes and rejected the prophets and because of their iniquity, God has offuscated their governors.
Adam is also put in a deep sleep when Eve is created.
It seems that the deep sleep has to happen for something greater to take place ( Eve's creation and the coming forth of the Book of Mormon).
